Stress management techniques

Post by Choccodee39 »

For me the best stress relief is being around positive people. I find that negative environment cause me to become tense and I take on other people's issues to try and solve or help in some way when sometimes you're just suppose to listen and leave it there. So positive environment is best for less stress. Eating well also play a role in your stress on the body. My body insulin level drops if I don't eat at least several small healthy meals a day. I work puzzles of all sorts it calms me and I'm able to escape from stressful situations that arise. I also read and listen to music. What stress management techniques do you find helpful to you, that can be shared here in the community?

Staying in touch with positive people is a wonderful stepping stone for stress relief. Their energies work well to rid you of all negativities. Also, it would be good to set boundaries and learn to say 'no. It is important to also focus on your own emotional well-being while not carrying the weight of others.

I agree with you Choccodee39, surrounding yourself with positive people is a great stress management technique because negative people are too much energy and draining. Also, eating healthy is very important not only for your health but also for stress. If you eat like crap, you'll feel like crap. Another thing to keep in mind is staying hydrated. Physical activity even a short walk or dancing in your kitchen can release endorphins and will help easy anxiety and stress. Getting enough sleep and having a good sleep routine is very important for stress management. I also enjoy things such as meditating when I'm feeling overwhelmed as it helps me take a few minutes, breathe properly and lets me de-stress.

Sometimes I find myself journaling when going through a stressful time as it helps keep me grounded and sometimes just writing things out really helps decompress and feel better.

Those are just some of the things I do that have helped me with stress management and hopefully it can help others too =)

Getting some fresh air tends to help me whenever I'm stressed. You could go for a walk and listen to music on your walk as well. Also surrounding yourself with positivity will help!
