Share a challenging experience you've overcome.
One challenging experience I've overcome is, in my high school years during the summer I would go to my cousins house and spend my summer break. We were both plus-size and so were her friends. We would plan each day what we would do after working in their family store on morning shift. After work we go home shower and head out to some excitement or hang outs. They would always hook me up with a guy friend. But usually I would decline. Because of rejection guys would slap me call ms to pretty to give a guy a chance. It was the most devastating challenge I faced every summer. I began to wonder did I deserve it, but somehow that left my mind quickly. I overcame the challenge of being disrespected because of my right to say no, I decline. I stood tall shoulders spread wide looking the guy eye to eye and with boldness and authority in my voice said no thank you I'm not looking for any guy friends. They would say ok I hear you and walk away without confrontation. Share a challenging experience you've had and overcame.

I'm proud of you for overcoming those hurtful experiences. It amazes me how firm you were in your decisions and didn't let others control your self-worth. Rejection can hurt, but it is evident that you have grown from it and now stand taller and more assured. This story reminds us that our worth is not determined by the opinions and actions of others.Choccodee39 wrote: Mon Feb 24, 2025 8:40 pm One challenging experience I've overcome is, in my high school years during the summer I would go to my cousins house and spend my summer break.
