Healthy recipes

Post: # 30Post Choccodee39 »

Being a plus-size women, I still try and maintain a healthy eating plan. My recipes are put together with lots of substitutions to make the meal more healthy. In my spaghetti and most Italian recipes I substitue ground beef with ground turkey to maintain the level of fat. My salad recipes, I incorporate leafy greens such as spinach and kale alone with other low calorie add in veggies and cheese. What are some of your healthy recipes you like to make? What are ways you substitute ingredients in your recipes to make them more healthy?

I also love to experiment replacing an ingredient for a healthier twist in the same dish. I have made use of Greek yogurt instead of sour cream and enjoyed making cauliflower crust instead of plain pizza crust.

My journey in life is to maintain a healthy plus-size me. I exercise and eat healthy portioned meals. I find omega 3 protein like Salmon, sardines, some shell fish make great options for healthy recipes. You can add asparagus, broccoli, fresh green beans, spinach to those choices of protein. I also add veggies such as sweet potatoes, steamed carrots, salad baked potato. Just to name a couple of options. Truly you can make healthy recipes as healthy as you like. All veggies is a choice as well.
