I believe in order to gain friends one must show themselves as friendly. A friend is there through thick and thin until the end. I personally believe there are certain requirements friendship require such as loyalty, respect and trust. A friend not only gives imput in conversations, they also are good listeners as well. I've found that I never meet a stranger, it's not hard at all for me to strike up a simple hello how are you. What requirements do you think a friendship requires? How do you go about gaining friendship? Do you make the introduction first or wait for the person to engage in conversation with you first?

Your friendship philosophy is absolutely correct! Loyalty, respect, and trust are the foundation. Your "never meet a stranger" attitude is also cool because a simple hello can set off a beautiful connection. Being approachable and genuinely interested in others is indeed a good virtue.

I believe friendship requires loyalty, honesty accountability. You must have clear open communication. Be able to express your feelings without blaming each other. Allow healthy boundaries so that you can have moments with others that they're not connected to. That way you miss each other's company.
