How Can We Celebrate Successes?

Post: # 142Post Ryan »

It's time to celebrate and don’t keep to yourself whether you accomplished something great or it is as small as helping around the house. I am glad I have never relapsed and recently started a new program of exercise that I am following. Successes you’ve achieved are capable of encouraging others. So let’s celebrate our achievements and far progress collectively.

I think there's numerous way to celebrate success. I usually have a hard time telling people no. One day something in me was just sick and tired of being bullied by someone I thought was first my friend second a Minister of God. I opened my mouth and said I'm not mad nor offended but I wish you and your ministry well. I need my space with God by myself. Walked away happily and haven't desired to look back. I celebrated that successful move with Thanksgiving and praise. I celebrate by helping others stand firm on what is right to do in any situation. Celebrations doesn't have be all about you and what you accomplish, it can be celebrating others for your success.

Congratulations on not relapsing Ryan, I know that it can be difficult at times, but it's also really important to celebrate, no matter how small the achievements or accomplishments are.

Some ways I've celebrated success in the past include:
  • Journaling. I love writing down what I've accomplished, how long I've been working at it, and reflecting on how it felt to finally achieve it. It helps me appreciate the journey and reminds me of how far I've come.
  • Treating myself. Whether it's celebrating at a restaurant with my boyfriend, grabbing some ice cream, or even splurging on a new outfit, taking a moment to treat myself makes the accomplishment feel even sweeter.
  • Taking a day off or a cheat day: For example, I've been following the keto diet for a while, but every once in a while, I allow myself a cheat day. I don't go out with friends often, but when I do, I enjoy the freedom to indulge without feeling guilty.
Life is full of ups and downs, and it's so important to celebrate our successes so that all the hard work doesn’t feel like it’s for nothing. That said, we also need to be mindful that if we celebrate every little thing, nothing will seem as special or exciting.

I always like to reward myself by taking a day to relax and just chill if I accomplished a goal.

I have made over a many of hurdles in my life and one was being able to drive a standard shift car I bought. The success was to keep it from rolling back when stopped on a hill. When I finally mastered it I celebrated with buying new car accessories and fragrance. Then I pick my friends up and we had happy hour drinks before going out to a fashion weekend event. How do you celebrate success?
