Plus-size Fashion and Disability: Breaking Down Barriers

Barriers have began to be broken in the fashion industry for models with disabilities. We do see more Down Syndrome models in the industry and also from born like this women with lymphedema and more. When the inclusive awareness advocates went to work and open doors for people with disabilities that abilities to persue the careers of their choice. There seemed to be limitations on what disability. However now advocates are reaching for overall inclusion especially in the fashion industry plus other industries. What is your take on the Barriers being broke for the plus-size disabilities and fashion?

I like how the models with disabilities slay down the runway, breaking barriers and stereotypes. The rise of diversity and acceptance is just empowering. Truly, everybody must be represented and celebrated!

Now I must commend the industry for plus-size models they have really opened their platforms up to ability challenged plus-size women to model. I see more down syndrome models, women stricken with lymphedema and many more in the upcoming years. The barriers are definitely being broken as the seasons and years pass.
