Teaching kids about money and financial responsibilities.
First as a parent you must show good financial responsibility. They notice everything and pay way more attention then we think. Show them how money is made from work a job for hours a day and at the end of the work period they rep in payment money. Then they must spend wisely by creating a budget for spend on necessities for living and surviving with food. Bills household stuff car gas clothing shoes insurance and all that comes with financial responsibility. Teach them by giving an allowance and budgeting that allowance and saving as well. Teach priority's and needs vs wants. When it's their money they will soon begin to catch on that life comes with lots of responsibilities and financial responsibilities is definitely a must to make it in life. What's your take on teaching kids financial responsibility?
Re: Teaching kids about money and financial responsibilities.
I teach my little ones to give themselves a coin allowance, and every month, they divide it into three jars: save, spend, and give. This means giving a lot to understanding priorities and making choices. It's been really cool to see such habits grow and it's one important life value that they will benefit from for years to come.
