How do you practice vulnerability and openness in your relationship?

Post: # 1113Post Choccodee39 »

Basically to practice vulnerability and openness in your relationship is the same strategies used for when conflicts and disagreements arise. You want to be an active listener always listen to each attentively. Be open to each other's thoughts even if you don't share the same thoughts on a situation. Leave room for both of you to be in a safe place in your relationship to express your feelings and concerns openly and honestly without any judgment or finger pointing. Being willing to admit when we're wrong is also a huge part of vulnerability. And also, my partner and I try to have these regular check-in's', during which we actually talk about how we've been feeling lately and what's been on our minds.

This communication helps keep us connected, but for me, it seems the most important benefit is that it tackles issues before they grow into bigger problems.

For me the vulnerability is just to just go deep inside and share what you have going on inside the inner core of you and expressing it to your partner. And once you do that you have to open up and when you open up you allow yourself to tell your story, the things that you've gone throu megh the things that going on in your mind basically and the things that you want to share about you and let your partner be a part of.
